With a rapidly changing environment and increasing competitive pressures, all companies need to continually challenge themselves to achieve excellence and stay ahead of the competition.
For companies in the construction sector, maximising the resources invested in their business is a key priority, and our most important resource is our people. To help us develop a structured approach to the training and development of our staff, Kaberry have been working in partnership with Investors in People since 2006, which has been the catalyst for the continuous improvement of our business.
To be an Investor in People, we continually meet 157 different requirements of the IIP framework standard. As a result, we have introduced key practices and activities that have supported high performance working which, in turn, have helped us to get the most out of our people to increase performance & productivity and improve our customer satisfaction.
The Investor in People standard focuses on linking the organisational priorities and objectives of the business to the development of staff in the key areas of HR management, apprenticeships, job training, employment relations, team working, communication skills and effective leadership and management.
Jon Walker, Managing Director, said “Our commitment to improving business performance through investment in our people has helped us to unlock the skills, talent and potential of our staff in these key areas and has ensured that all our employees now share a strong collective vision for the future strategy of our business”.
